[holds up the book] This has something on magical bonds, but - I don't know how the alternate worlds would affect it.

[A smiles a little at Teru, giving him a small wave.]
Hey. Nothing yet...I thought that, since you know more about magical bonds, I could do the quantum stuff.

So far, nothing though...

[She nods and smiles at him again, flipping through her book.]
Well...I don't know her too well, but I heard that Mel found a way to take somebody back with her. I was thinking of asking her, if we can't find anything ourselves.

Girl Mello. I met her when I first got here, she's nice. Anyway, I heard that she'd found a way, but like I said...I don't know much else.

[She smiles sheepishly and shrugs.]

[She nods, blinking a little.]

Well, she's the only one who knows how to take somebody back with them...I don't really know who else to ask.

I assume this one isn't a Mafia leader? [his teenage alternate is friends with another Mello, so he's prepared to give the benefit of the doubt at this point]

She's really nice, though. We were in the church room together once...but I don't know her too well...

No, I mean... [he takes a deep breath, wondering how to explain this] I'm there now. While I'm talking to you.

[A looks sort of confused.]

I don't know. I assumed that I'd been brought there and then left to come here, but the other day...

I - saw the Matt of my own world, in the - that room. You know. [He doesn't want to say 'the underwear room'...] And I realised, shortly afterward, that he was at Hogwarts when I left, but he came here before me. Which could just have been confusion with the timeline again, but then I remembered something else. Matt is popcorn.

[at which dramatic point the kettle boils, and he jumps up again to take care of it] Just a moment.

[She still looks a little confused, and she frowns a bit, before remembering seeing Matt covered in butter...smelling like popcorn...]
