Disclaimer: I don't own Stargate: SG-1, I'm just playing in the world. I mean no offense to the cast and crew of the show. This is just how much I love them for all the entertainment they've given me.

She stood outside his cabin door and was about to hit the signal button when she heard a loud crash from behind it. Her fingers froze over the panel as her eyes widened in alarm at the sound which was soon followed by his muffled voice crying out and another crash. She looked down at the panel beside the door and moved her hand from the signal to the door open button and stabbed down hard but nothing happened.

"Cam!" she called out through the door as a series of almost inaudible thumps and thuds sounded through the metal bulkhead. She quickly pried the panel away and was soon entering an override sequence which caused the door to slide open. She was about to dart inside when she realised the doorway was blocked by Cameron leaning against the wall inside and grinning at her. She looked at him with her eyes widened in surprise.

"Indulging in a spot of breaking and entering are we, Sam?" he asked and Amanda burst out laughing.

"Damn it, Ben!"

Stargate Command, September 2009

"Walter, I need a cassette tape player in the briefing room immediately!" Landry shouted at the open door, causing the members of SG-1 to wince at the loudness. A squawk emanated from the intercom on his desk and the disembodied voice of Chief Harriman gave an acknowledgement of the order. Everyone filed out the other door to Landry's office into the Briefing room and seated themselves around it to wait for the base's senior non-com to bring up a tape deck he'd scrounged from that place Chief Master Sergeants find everything that's asked of them. Once he'd been dismissed Cam took out the tape marked as the first and put it into the tape deck to play. The voice they heard was unmistakably not Mitchell's voice, it was smooth and cultured, heavily accented, but a little too far on the side of self-important. Everyone around the table blinked in surprise.

"My name is Ba'al, Supreme System Lord of the Goa'uld, if you are listening to this Generals Landry and O'Neill, Colonels Carter and Mitchell, Dr. Jackson, Teal'c and Vala. Then my plan to take over the galaxy succeeded, then failed, and is about to suceed again. I wish I could be there to watch as each of you disappear from in front of one another one by one. Ta ta." The tape stopped and they all looked at each other in amazement until Cameron threw his arms up in the air above his head.

"All Hail, Cliff Simon!" cried Ben. They all burst out laughing.

Sam had run into a bit of a dead end in her research with the Asgard Core and was just rubbing at her eyes in a daze when she heard the door of the room swish open, turning around she saw Cam slide in, grinning, she smiled inwardly and swivelled in her chair to face him, crossing her arms. Here comes trouble.

"My name is Cam Mitchell, a fighter pilot. I joined SG-1 and I got shot through a wormhole. Now I'm lost in some distant part of the universe on a ship a living ship-" He stopped when he noticed Amanda was laughing. "Oh, son of a hazmot!" He stomped around while she stood up and came to stand by him. "Hezmana! Yotz! Drenn! Frell!" She laughed again and moved to the door.

"Claudia! Better come quick! He's gone into Crichton mode." she called out between giggles and she was soon joined by Claudia who grabbed Ben by the shoulders and shook him.

"Snap out of it, Ben! It's over! We got the mini-series done so it's all over." She gave his cheek a little pat while he nodded, looking downcast.

"You never get over being cancelled right before you're about to be turned into millions of crystal beads by an alien death ray." he muttered and Amanda ruffled his hair.
