In order to celebrate the month and in a blatant attempt to lure in fitful_fire with song, I give you a one two punch of the storytelling lyrics of The Decemberists. I only discovered this band a couple of years ago when I saw a video for '16 Military Wives', but I instantly fell in love with it and just about all their songs. They have an intriguing sensibility about their songs and bring life to incredibly vivid and fantastical worlds.
