http://www.taylorbrewing.com/ I arrived when it was just opening up on Good Friday. As expected, no one was there and one other party arrived when I was finishing up. The layout is pretty nice with a sunken bar which is surrounded by booths then by tables. TVs are mounted around the building tuned to the sports stations. My impression was that it was a relaxed atmosphere.
Now the only reason why anyone would go to a restaurant with the word "brewing" in the title is for the beer. I tried the Raspberry Wheat beer because it sounded interesting (Charlie's Ale House had a raspberry beer too but I never got the chance to try it). It was a little weak with just an aftertaste of raspberry. Rather plain overall. I ordered the blue cheese burger with fries. That was pretty good. They put some breading or do something with the fries to give them a different texture which was pretty good. There was nothing too special about the burger.
Final Grade C+. I probably won't go back in light of other restaurants in the area (PF Chang's, Weber Grill, Rock Bottom Brewery, etc). In that neck of the woods you really have to stand out to be noticed and there's nothing really noticeable here. My guess is that it's better than Miller's Alehouse but only because at least Taylor's makes their own beer.
