I'm through. Thank you so much for introducing me to this show. Recommendations pop now up right, left and center but it was you where I heard it first. That's the kind of TV I want to watch. Not superheros!

You were right, I loved every single one of them right from the beginning. That is great writing and also great acting. They feel like real people. I loved all the different kind of accents - Welsh, Scottish...

I can't decide who is my favorite. They all were brilliant in their own way. Richie had a glow about him, an enthusiasm. You really could believe he would have made it to Hollywood.

Colin... sweet sweet shy Colin. I love the first episode where the elder couple showed him that he can indeed have a proper normal life. This is what John Barrowman always says in interviews - he wanted that, the long lasting marriage, the white picketed fence, like his parents had, and he didn't accept that he should be denied it just because he was gay. At the time he grew up, there were no gay icons on TV like we have nowadays. It must be confusing if you can't see anyone like you anywhere.

I wonder where they caught it though. They seemed to be in a commited relationship. Do you think they took boys home as well?

Colin's mother was especially sweet...

Also Ash. When I first saw him I thought, he might be a bit smug. I am always wary of guys who look too good and can have everyone. But what a sweet guy he turned out to be!

But I think I love Roscoe most. He was brilliant!

And of course Jill. Let's not forget Jill. Do you know that she is real and the real one played her mother?

Also, there are t-shirts with La! now:

Finally, that Doctor Who scene has a point. It's a tribute to ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ star Dursley McLinden, who lost his life to AIDS in 1995.

I guess I should watch PRIDE now. I never have.

Watching this now, with pandemic eyes, seeing all the club scenes with so many people being close was weird!
