Ipod Poetry!

Jan 02, 2009 20:07

Stolen from Melly cause it looked fun.

Directions: Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

What did you learn today?

I woke up in a dream today
The scent of flowers in the crowded street
The emotion it was electric, and the stars they all aligned
Looting the destroyed vessels of the sea

Are you lost in your lives?
It's just a thought but where did it come from?
There is a part of me that wants an answer
Because I'm weary of this melody

If you want to write a letter, write a letter
This is the only lonely picture
You wait, wanting this world to let you in
I'm waiting for my moment to come

There's a yellow tree that no one sees where the water meets the land
Where you're headed there is no return
Nightingales sing though it's blacker than the bog
Crawling in my skin

I haven't seen days, just solid water run down my face
Sometimes we fall
Is this what you meant - is this what you dreamed of?
All the stars are out tonight
