I had seen bits and pieces of this movie on Youtube, and knew the general premise, but I just finished watching it on HBO.
Such a beautiful movie. I've done nothing but sob for the last thirty minutes, though. I love movies that tap into those universal feelings of guilt and love and grief. And trying so hard to be what we're 'supposed' to be, but ultimately failing because what we're supposed to be has almost nothing to do with who we actually are. When characters struggle through that dichotomy and come out the other side stronger and more confident... It's painful and beautiful and so cathartic to watch.
I really recommend this one. So good.
