He really is. I forget to tell him sometimes, though.

And as good as he is on paper, he's even better to meet in real life. Just a terrific human being.

awesome story. it's great that he was able to turn it around, with his initiative and some firm support from your folks.

Yes.
Especially when you read about how hard it is to get off of meth. He boggles my mind sometimes. And of course, he's the awesomest brother that ever lived. :)

Thanks. I wish I had pictures of what he looked like in the midst of his addiction, then you could see how awful things were.

He's awesome, really. Totally different now.

He is! And I can't even say how proud I am of him and it has nothing to do with me. He's just a really cool human being. Driven and full of ambition, always wanting to be better.

*hugs back*
Thanks!

That is amazing. Not just him -- although what your brother's done is damned amazing -- but you two. Because you are every statistical stereotype in existence, and you both of beaten them to a standstill.

I downplay my 'success' because I measure it against his and it always comes up lacking. But yeah, I do realize that I'm miles above where people had any right to expect of me. I still have some personal achievement to make until I think I can call myself on par with him, but yeah.

We did both beat the odds, and that is kinda cool :).
