Yesterday was rough.
Yesterday, I was woken up by my wife screaming that we had overslept. This was a problem, because I had court today. I was found guilty of speeding, and driving without a license. I'm appealing the Driving without a license. That one is bullshit. Fuck the VA DMV.
But slightly more stressful was finding out that my wife's best friend had removed not only her... but both of us from fer Facebook friends list. AND... had her entire family do the same. WTF is this? Jr High?
They got into a fight because my wife was feeling a little unapppreciated, and a little used. So, she stopped calling her back for a day or two. Might not seem like much... but for people who talk everyday, multiple times a day... it was. So suddenly my wife's friend is going all "Scorched Earth" on her about shit that had nothing to do with anything.
Then, my wife sent an email, asking for her blue dress back, and what to do about some Girlscout cookies she had ordered thru us, and that my oldest daughter was upset that no one from her family was going to come to her singing performance. How do you tell an 8 year old that the family she knew since BIRTH aren't going to be her friends any more? So my wife just said that they couldn't come to the show, and she was upset.
When my wife mentioned that my daughter was upset.... the response is "Well... I don't know what YOU said to her to make her so upset, but that's not on me." Wow. That was more dick-ish than I've seen in a long, long time.
So my wife is terribly upset by the whole thing.
Now... They have gotten into spats before, like most friends do. And when she is being an ass, I have no reservations about calling her on it. I have no reservations when i say, this is NOT her fault. She didn't go off on her freind. She has actually been very restrained about the whole thing. She hasn't blasted this other woman on her blog, nor has she blasted her in Facebook, or in email. Even tho she is so very hurt by all of this.
*sigh*
My wife may be a huge pain in my ass from time to time... but she isn't the devil, and doesn't deserve this level of crap.
So.. on today's agenda is more gardening. I have to prep the front flowerbeds. I think we're doing ferns, and bleeding hearts. Little else seems to grow in the shady corners in front of the house.
