oh my, i forgot about this beast for quite some time there. the time has come to update...even though this will likely be random and short. things are going pretty well for me right now though. classes=ok. i've been skipping my psych statistics class a fair amount, but its hardly my fault. 1. the teacher is really not very good so i'd rather just teach it to myself from the book. 2. i keep running into people on the way to that class that i haven't seen in a long time/want to talk to. After I've caught up with them it is either be 15-20 minutes late of just skip it. I've been going with the skip method. I'm in conducting II with meyer this quarter...its weird how much i actually enjoy conducting. one of the reasons i didn't want to teach music all my life (in public schools) is--I DIDN'T want to have to conduct!!!! but now i'm sort of rethinking that reason since conducting is WAY fun and satisfying. viola is good. i've been really happy with my playing lately and i am NEVER EVER EVER happy about viola stuff, so this is a good thing. had to move my recital to april 4th because michelle and i weren't prepared for our 3 week evaluation dealy..but thats okay. more time to prepare! hmmm what else...ohhh Schoenberg Verklarte nacht is AMAZING. i love it so much and my sextet is super hot so far. i can't believe so far i'm having a good chamber music experience at central! that's a first for me! dr. meyer starts coaching us in a week or so...that will be intense but probably amazing. side note--meyer needs to stop dressing so well! that man went shopping. k, i could probably go on a lot more, but i need to go be social now in stead of listening to schubert in my room alone. sketchy. i love and miss people that aren't here!

oh, and prep is really happy too....sometimes i really wonder why i'm doing this psychology business when i'm just getting really into teaching...we'll see what happens i guess. yay kids that love music or at least try to love it. i'm forming a "viola studio" with SPK, and we are going to have cute recitals for them (4 silver string violists) at my house every quarter. can we say ADORABLE?? i think so.
