I am honestly not sure that our Pres can go bomb another country's military without /somebody/ signing off on it? That just seems...WTF. I mean, Congress is supposedly the ones with the power to declare war and the Pres has gone to them for authorization to use military force in the past. So i find this very confusing.
Republicans refused to give that authorization to Obama after chemical attacks. Now they're cheering this?
I'm very confused.
I mean, did he confer with /anyone/? Nato? The UN? Some allies somewhere? "I'm going to bomb another country that is not threatening me at all. You guys cool with that?" I mean we civilized people dont go around attacking. That's the whole point of Treaties,, isnt it? It's why there are Declarations of War?
Hey he made it all the way to day 77 before dropping bombs.
Have to say my first reaction to the news was a horrified "I have 3 cousins in the military. I hope I still do."
Le sigh.
In other news, I am a bit alarmed that this place is now telling us We are responsible for our account security, We will be held responsible for anything posted even if we're hacked AND We've just been moved into the country with (arguably) some of the best hackers. Or at least some of the most bored. So there's that.
