No, We do not OWN bicycles for we do not have a DEATH WISH?
You see our tiny, narrow, twisting roads lined with trees and boulders. There are no shoulders, no grass.
If there IS a shoulder? It has patches of sand leftover from winter. Potholes. Dead deer. Tires.
There's no safe place you can swerve into or out of.
Our cars are GIANT. SUVs & pickups & Hummers. With side mirrors that stick out another 3 feet. The drivers aren"t aware of this.
Our drivers? Are distracted, aggressive, angry, stupid and impatient. Their rules of the road do not include you or even the possibility of you.
THEY DO NOT CARE IF THEY HIT YOU OR NOT.
No one uses a bicycle. We're not lazy - we"re alive.
