My mother learned to cook before food safety was a thing. She's in her 80s and we're Ok.
Of course she also used wooden cutting boards, stainless utencils and wood handles. No plastics harboring bacteria. Unlike her kitchen now.

But all this does not forgive the lack of seasoning. She followed her own written recipe. No seasoning.
