*ponder*
You know that plot where boy and girl are forced by circumstance to spend time together and thus fall in love?
Isn't that kind of the plot device of an arranged marriage? 🤔
This question arose as I was surfing youtube for vids featuring my actor. In one, lord help us, he was chasing a woman around a bridal chamber while his ventriloquist dummy on the bed was cheering him on. Very. Weird. I'd run too.
Arranged marriage?
In another movie his character also appears to be in an arranged marriage situation but this time it is puppy eyes, laughing, chatting, walking together in lush landscapes and tender hugs. At least until she whispers something to him and runs off-screen, leaving him gobsmacked by her words before he pursues.
Arranged marriage but this time they have obviously gotten to know and like each other /before/ beds are involved.
