So I went to New York on Sunday with Andrew to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (again). And holy crap. I thought it was good the first time, but it was horrible compared to the show I saw on Sunday. What a difference.
The first time (in September) I saw Sherie Rene Scott, John Lithgow, Norbert Leo Butz's understudy, Gregory Jbara, and Joanna Gleason. I thought it was pretty good.
This time, I saw Sherie, Norbert, Jonathan Pryce, Gregory Jbara, and Lucie Arnaz. The only disappointment was Lucie Arnaz.. but you can't really compare to Joanna Gleason. Jonathan Pryce was AMAZING. Like, absolutely, pee-your-pants laughing hilarious. He wasn't a deadpan straight man to Norbie's goofiness.. he was just as goofy, and it was even more effective. But he made the Christine-Lawrence thing so much more believable. With Lithgow it just seemed really contrived, but Pryce made it seem real. And Norbert... oh man. He was amazingly funny. I think he and Pryce really cut loose because it's their last week. During "Chimp In A Suit" I definitely saw some Norbie butt cheek. Hmm.
But it was great. And then we went to the stage door and I got autographs from Jonathan Pryce, Norbert, Gregory, and Lucie.
And the whole trip with Andrew was fun. We ate lunch at a street fair on 6th Avenue, did the TKTS thing, then wandered around Times Square and Toys R Us for like....2 hours. I actually like hanging out with my little brother... surprise, surprise.
Going to Marissa's later... that should be fun. I haven't seen her or Urey or Meghan or people since school.
I got 2 new bathing suits at Marshall's yesterday for Costa Rica.. they make me really happy.
