Perfect Saturday
Just had such a great day I wanted to document it:
Started with 8 hours of sleep and breakfast with my kiddos. Sara and I skipped Mommy & me ballet so we could get an earlier start to Stone Mountain, since we were meeting Mike and Jill there and planning on climbing the mountain. Me grumpy from a hurt ear and Sara saying she was tired, we weren't sure this was a great idea, but with 4 adults to 2 kids, we made it up the whole mountain in record time. And stayed on top for an hour, taking cute pictures, eating snacks, and Mike brought a kite to fly! David and I had a great time holding it, while Corey fell asleep on the top of the mountain. Both kids were troopers, especially as they each fell and got a scrape at some point. The weather was beyond beautiful today; just a perfect fall day, windy and comfortable.
We had planned to go to the playground afterwards, but just took a look around the mini-museum at the bottom of the walk-up trail instead. Everyone else took a nap while I babysat for a friend. When I got home I played with David for a little while and then started dinner. I made alfredo sauce from scratch for the first time, which Sara and I thought was awesome, the boys not so much. And the chicken was pre-cooked, so not a recipe I would make again. After dinner the boys went off to a movie while Sara and I stayed home and played play-dough. My favorite quote was "I make you a heart because I love you!" Love that kid. Let her play in the bathtub for a while and watched a show before bed. Working on a new craft in front of a favorite movie to finish the day-just perfect.
