One down...three more to go
Exams are upon us. I realize now that I have three semesters left at Central.
The 06-07 school year will be my last year (yea for 5th year seniors!). Here are some things that I will do either at the end of the spring 06 semester or during that last school year to make my last year at Central rock (regardless of the outcome of each...at least I will have tried in the end...):
1. Audition for Chamber Singers
2. Complete the song I am working on (including some form of the music for it)
3. Submit work to the Central Review
4. Tailgate every home football game
5. Submit work to organizations who award scholarships to creative writers
6. Have some piece of writing published in some literary magazine with some renown
7. Find and apply to a Grad School
I plan to audition not because I think I'm God's gift to the choir but because of love for the music, love for singing. The same for the creative writing stuff (especially regarding the frickin' "good ol' boy's club" that is the Central Review). It's time I chased down some dreams, and wrecklessly might I add. Even if they elude me in the end I will have tried.
