Under the weather

I'm not sure where that expression comes from, but it applies. I've been stuffy and congested for a couple of days, since Thursday I think, and today I just couldn't stay awake to get much done. I spent much time sitting on the couch trying to read but actually dozing with a book in my lap, or doing the same in front of the computer. The latter is not good when you're trying to edit a book length manuscript. I have a tendency to doze off and end up holding down a key. This can generate hundreds of pages of one character. Fortunately "Undo" removes them, but after that scare I gave up on editing for the day. Dispossessed one of the cats of her spot on the sofa so I could lie down and snooze there, which worked for a while. She was rather indignant about it though.

I did manage to get through most of the barn chores, and cooked breakfast and supper. Gary made lunch because I was too groggy even to stick leftovers in the microwave. He's busy with a load of homework even though he has only two classes this term.

Dunno if I'll make it to work tomorrow. Have to see how I feel by then and whether I can sleep all night.

The moon did break through the clouds overnight and was brilliant just before sunrise this morning. Haven't looked to see if it is showing right now.
