But the fire is so delightful.
And since we've no place to go,

And snow is what it's doing. Normally we get snow when the temperature is above 20F, but not today. Good thing we don't have high winds too. The wind chill is bad enough, and the snow is coming fast enough to impair visibility. Because the ground is frozen hard, and temperatures for the last 24 hours have been in the teens or lower, the snow is accumulating without any melt at all.
Could be five inches or more, they say. Probably not, though. When they predict it, we don't usually get so much.
I was going to say I wish I was at home where the woodstove is, but it just dawned on me that we do have a fireplace here in the library. It's gas rather than wood, but it looks nice enough and does feel warm. I wonder if anyone turned it on today?
