I still don't know what happened to the roll of film that I got developed last week. With the exception of one photo, every print on that roll came out gray and very grainy. Poor lighting? Exposure to x-ray radiation from airport security? Expired film? All of the above? Maybe Walgreens just sucks at film development?
I'm miffed that my photos didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. But no crying over spilled milk, right? And as strange as it sounds, the messed-up photos are interesting. The inability to recognize a face or see clearly a captured scene brings up all sorts of philosophical questions. Who am I? What is identity? Can the shadows and graininess be interpreted as a commentary on the fallible nature of human communication?
