The birth of Impressionism

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of viewing an exhibit at the de Young Museum, entitled Birth of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay, with Yoojin and Nari. Oh wow! That's so exciting! Something you won't ever forget, I'm sure. I'm jealous! ;)

In response, Manet painted the piece of the single asparagus stalk, and sent it to the wealthy man with a note, saying, "I believe your bunch is missing one."

Indeed! Especially since I really like Impressionist paintings. To have been able to see works by the famous masters with my own eyes, to have been inches away from their works, was truly something special. If an exhibit ever comes your way, of any sort, I hope you'll be able to go and enjoy it yourself. :)
