1. What's your favourite kind of weather?

I love mild sunny days with no wind, but I also love wild windy rainy winter days.

2. What do you most like to do when the weather outside is your favourite kind? What do you mostly end up doing?

If it's the first kind of weather, it's perfect for going on a long bike ride. Sometimes I do that, but sometimes I just go for a walk.

If it's the second kind of weather, I like to just stay inside and look out at it, and that's most often what I end up doing.

3. What's your least favourite kind of weather?

Hot to very hot (30C or above), and/or humid, and/or windy (when it's not the rainy stormy kind of wind that I do like).

4. What do you most like to do when the weather outside is your least favourite kind? What do you mostly end up doing?

Whenever the weather is my least favourite kind I try to stay inside to avoid it. If I have to go out I just grin and bear it.

5. Given the choice between a climate that's more or less the same year-round or one with varied weather depending on season, which would/do you choose? Why?

I've lived in a climate that was more or less the same year-round - Indonesia, where it was hot and humid nearly all the time - and I much prefer living where the weather changes with the seasons. Here, where we can have very hot summers, I know it's not going to stay hot forever and that makes it (just) possible to endure the heat.

NB: I've limited this discussion to my reactions to the climate of Perth, where I live. There are other kinds of weather in other parts of the world that I also like and dislike, but I don't live there so my reactions aren't so relevant to this post. (For example, I don't like the weather in Washington DC when wintry mix is falling, but I do like it when it's snowing and also when there is snow on the ground but the weather is clear and sunny but cold.)
