Our digital camera is now officially on its way. Well, ordered, at least. Anticipate a flood of pictures sometime in the beginning of August. Until then, I'm afriad you'll have to continue to use your imagination.
:-)
Kerchief #1 is well on its way to needing to be replaced for work-functions, although it's still fine for hiking, weekend wear. Denim fades, I love that. Denim yarn also pills a bit; I love that less.
Kerchief #2 is Lirrianna's headscarf, and I love it, and wish I had non-costume clothing that matched it. It's the basic pattern used on #1 and #2, with
Flame Chevron lace pattern worked allover.
Shine Sport yarn, in Sycamore, sort a sa dream but it gets a little frizzy if you have to rip-and-re-knit.
Kerchief #3 is on Eugene's head, and I am reminding him to get a picture for me. Lime green
CotLin (cotton-linen blend)
same pattern as #1.
Kerchief #4 is done and ready to deliver, same basic pattern with a little lace insert at the tail, Rowan denim yarn. That's for the Jillilove, who will be getting it this weekend. Maybe I can get a picture.
Kerchief #5... wow! That's a lot of kerchieves!... is blocking, drying on the table pinned onto some insulation board. This is Genius' second kerchief, done as a shortened version of
this shawl (she did 25 repeats in a very fine yarn. I did 5 (so a total of 6 rows of leaves). CotLin again, this time in hot pink. I'm really happy with the way this turned out, will probably use this pattern again, and may use other shawl patterns for kerchieves , too.
Kerchief # Rachel (6) is on the needles now, a copy of #2, Chevron lace over basic kerchief pattern, in Shin, again, Hollyberry this time.
There's a sweater pattern in the same lace pattern that I may have to knit at some point.
When this all is done, I'm doing to knit myself two or three kerchieves and/or headbands. :-)
