Due to his years of servitude with the self-knowledge he was a noble the entire time through, Guy felt as though he might not have deserved to be walking the emperor's rappigs through the streets of Grand Chokmah now that it was semi-wide knowledge that he was indeed a noble of Hod and had tight ties with the emperor and the famed Colonel Curtiss. Even so, he always had a hard time saying no the the man (even without considering his status), so the blonde grit and bore it as he walked along, the rappigs Luke and Nephry with him today rather than the whole bunch

Considering the amount of people on the streets today, Sync wasn’t expecting to hear that familiar tone of voice coming from behind him. The replica glanced curiously over his shoulder, a sigh of relief escaping his lips when he saw the other man there. He quickly turned around to properly greet him.
"Gailardia!" This time, instead of those half-assed greetings he was forced to bear, Sync's smile was as true as it was going to get. Now that Gailardia was here he would surely give him a thorough explanation as to why they were so far away from Daath; not that he entirely minded now that he knew he was with favorable company. But before he could ask, the Fon Master caught those leashes the blond was holding, following them until he was staring dumbly at the two rappigs at the end.

"... What are you doing." Though it may have posed as a question, it would've sounded more like a demand if it hadn't been spoken so softly.
The use of his full name surprised him at first; not many people used it since "Guy" was so much easier to say. Only the emperor chose to be formal with him, for whatever reason - but he supposed the same could be said about Florian, eager to please. Nevertheless, Guy's short-lived confusion over the name was overtaken by the embarrassment of the question following. As if on cue, one of the rappigs snorted rather loudly

This time, Sync didn't bother to hide the confused expression on his face as he listened to the other talk. Was this all part of Van's plan? He never thought of the Commandant to kiss up to anyone, but maybe times were getting desperate and the man thought it would've been more beneficial as to 'speed up the process'. Plus he had to admit it was extremely amusing to see Gailarida commit himself to something so petty as walking rappigs. He'd make sure his friend would never live it down once they got back.
But all of that was soon forgotten when the blond posed his next question, this time his smile diminishing altogether.
"Why would she be with me...?" He knew of a girl named Anise, but that wasn't to say that he knew her entirely well since they hardly ever talked save for those minute hallway conversations. Sync could only wonder why Gailardia brought her up out of all people, but whatever the reason may be he couldn't find it in himself to care
