Actually, I'm not sure. that's probably something that needs to be worked out. This isn't set in World of Heroes ... maybe CrossWorld? Maybe AtC and Stryss invaded after the war?
Ah, I get it. It's not being told in the World of Heroes.
CrossWorld is not a good option. Modern nations are largely intact as they are in the real world.
AtC would work, and I'm suddenly intrigued by the prospect of figuring out what role Strysiavanya plays in the dimensions other than WoH. I was thinking a while back about what countries might have survived the Tyrathi War intact in AtC, and Strysiavanya makes a good candidate. It's bad news, too- a country as nasty as that emerging from that mess as the only real power in the world. Go with it.
The question then becomes, how did this storyteller find out about WoH? Probably comic books from before the war. Or this could be the AtC version of Cathy Travis, herself.
