I had an idea for a japanese Samurai epic styled episodic animated show wherein Mall Security Officers experience the fast paced, adventurous, and at times romantic trials and tribulations of guarding capitalism.

This idea was spawned by a calvacade of images that occured to me on patrol tonight. Such as: The bumbling but earnest female rookie with a heart of gold stamps her time card wrong, and the sly, confident yet secretly deeply traumatized anti-hero slides up behind her with offerings of time card tutelage and a lecherous smirk on his face.

Later he's hanging out in the management parking lot sitting side ways on a dilapidated brick wall like it's the hood of a hot rod and holding an ashing cigarette in his mouth. His shirt is untucked on one side and his face is slightly discolored in a rugged crimson toned smudge. he's thinking about how tonight went wrong, about how that shoplifter had started pushing the manager, and he had no choice but to use force. When he'd put the handcuffs on is when he'd felt like the biggest hypocrite of all.
Then the smarmy and slightly overweight veteran, all of twenty years old, who really fancies himself the leader of the team, will stroll through the door, see the relative rookie in cogitation and sidle up to his brick precipice.
"Sucks about tonight," he'll remark in a not-so-subtely excited voice.
"Mmm," anti hero will return, dragging off his cigarette and slinging his hands behind his head.
"Man, if I'd been the first on the scene, I'd 'a popped that bitch before he got a chance to get uppity," then the wannanbe councilor would lean in as though he were vomiting up pearls of wisdom, three for a dollar, "You know once, before you got here, i had a guy pull a knife."
"..."
"Yeah! But, I don't need to tell you how it ended, I'm still here, aren't I?"
Then the other will coil of the low slung brick wall like a spring unwinding, flick his cigarette away and walk inside without a word.

Yeah, a human drama/epic crime fighters/sentai team show about mall security would rule. If it were an anime, you'd watch it.
