It has been a horrrrrrrrrrrrrrribly busy week. So bloody tired..... yesterday was the worse.
VO talent supposed to come at 4 pm. then talent was late. superbly late. talent comes at 7 pm.
The ad is in a foreign language that only the talent knows so the client wants some TVC text to be shorten. I grabbed the texts in chucks from the print ad version using an english ad as reference to see which chunks to use. The talent look at the texts and says that the text are grammatically wrong and proceeds to retype all my text in that language. and he rewrote the whole script while he was at it.... by the time the new texts (which was changed a few more times in between) and the voice is put in and adjusted properly it was 10. talent leaves, me and my colleague, who was waiting for the beta tape, is left. We emailed the tvc to the client. and then we wait...
i think the client's internet must have been a 56k dialup cause it took superbly long to download it and then i think she upload it so that her friend who knows the language could approve it. BUT the friend is not home! so we wait for the friend to get home, download the tvc, watch it, approve it, call the client back and then the client call us. by the way everything was done it was 11+... what can i say? If only the talent wasn't SOOOOOOOOOOOO late.
and what do you know? we got a call today saying that was a wrong word in the text... What can i do? luckily all it took was a dot to solve the problem... otherwise i think i would have kill the talent today.
