I feel like jumping out of my own skin because I was thinking, oh, well, RONON, who cares...I just clicked on the link because it's your fic and I thought it'd be worth reading even if it was just Ronon. But OMG, how I underestimated his potential- you know, this is so much better than what we get on tv. I have the hardest time writing him and even harder time *reading* him because they've never really developed him in the show, and fic writers usually screw him up horrendously because they either suck or really don't know what to do with him, but this fic is incredible.
First of all, I find him interesting. Not the usual cliche of 'attack!puppy', which gets tiresome after a while, because one-note characters are simple to maintain on tv/fic, but boooring to watch/read. Not a soppy, sentimental mess whose attentions are drawn to some Mary Sue. *shudders*
[Btw, nice little moment with his confusion over Keller's identity. I always figured he was supposed to be attracted to her purely because of her profession, not because of her character because she and Melena are nothing alike- btw, is it spelt Melina or Melena? I thought it was two 'e's?]
Secondly, I am SO GLAD I found this fic buried amongst all my updates because I wasn't expecting to find the whole cast in this fic, I thought it was just a Ronon thing, maybe with Teyla, but this AU is so fun! The characters are, of all things, so in character! How deliciously entertaining to have Shep thinking to himself that it would irritate Elizabeth to take Ronon on-board without her permission- it's so true to the circumstances on the show with a neat twist! How hilariously typical to have McKay whining about some 'life-threatening' injury and Carson patiently putting up with him as usual because his oath doesn't allow for lethal injection to his patients. How CUTE to have Teyla gleeing over someone enjoying her tuttleroot soup *at last* after all the teasing she's had to bear over her efforts. Omg. Awesome. Just when I think you couldn't possibly get any better. *dies*
How I wish it could spawn a new community... *winks* And you said Meridith couldn't ask for a sequel, so technically, that allows me to *beg* ;)
