Well, today it's official. My child became annoyed enough to continue her forays into escapism. And so now, she can climb out of her crib. Great. She still can't get out of her room, though. I put a doorknob cover on the inside. Sounds mean, but it's better than her getting up in the night and running around the house and hurting herself.
The hobbit is stil only 26.5 pounds.
Her favorite number this week is 8. Everything is 8.
Everything is also RED. Apparently purple has worn out its welcome.
Oh, and I think we've figured out that she did NOT give me this latest round of cooties. Someone ELSE'S kid probably did, though.
Our D&D group has 3 moms in it, and usually we just all bring the kids. The hostess has a child 6 months older than Sarah, and they play well together. Another couple both have characters, and an 8 month old, so they bring their baby more or less out of necessity. Which is why our last game was called on account of projectile vomit.
The youngest of the kids was sleeping away minding his own business when his tummy suddenly staged a mutiny and he started puking. Mom and Dad got him out of the pack & play, and laid him on the floor to clean him up, where he continued to hurl. When he settled down a bit, I offered to hold him while host and hostess, mom and dad started on the carpet. I ended up just holding the poor baby over the trash can as he threw up AGAIN. I felt SOOOO bad for him, poor little thing!
Well, as it turns out, I spoke to host and hostess again today. They've both been sick, their daughter has been sick, his boss, who was also there, was out sick some this week, and then Sarah and I have been ill. Hmmmmm..... coincidence? I think not.
