Occultus Lacrima
For the pictures2words challenge, an artist makes a piece which an author then uses for inspiration to write. I was lucky enough to have an awesome writer chose my art and this is our combined work.

Summary: Things haven’t been easy for the brothers Winchester. Now something is wrong with Dean. Sam may be able to save him, and the world, but it just might cost him his life.

Seriously, go read her story, it's just amazing. She doesn't write much in Supernatural but maybe if we prod her enough she could be persuaded to play in this sandbox more often. We need more writers like her.
This is the piece that I made that inspired ELSB's words (click for bigger):
After reading through her first draft and loving it, I knew I had to make another piece and this came out (click for ginormous):
I made these in Photoshop CS3. To make the letters and the background behind dean, I simply used the smudge tool to move around blotches of white paint on the black canvas. For the letters I then played with the color balance to get the fire effect.
And I also made some icons:
