Fursona Musings

So... I think I've decided that Chibi is a Chapman's Zebra.

"The Chapman's zebra, or the Damara zebra (Equus burchelli antiquorum), is a subspecies of plains zebra occurring from Southern Ethiopia to Angola, Namibia and eastern South Africa. It is characterized by a pattern of broad, dark stripes alternating with thin, light shadow-stripes. The stripes fade into the brownish color of the body on the hindquarters and are absent altogether on the legs."

Physically...

"Medium size of the 3 zebra species. Like all zebras, they have distinct stripes which vary with the distribution. The northernmost type has entirely black and white stripes whereas the southern types black stripes turn into a brown colour. At the most southern parts of their range, the Plain Zebras have shadow stripes in between the black on their flanks and the rump. Their bellies and lower legs often lack any markings at all."

I like the idea of these "shadow stripes". Mmmm... zebras... ^_^
