Membership Requirements:
I have a couple of membership requests pending, and I'm still looking for people to join - but I need to make a few things clear:
To become a member of Altered Anatomy, you must commit to participate - in some way - in any or all of the following community activities:
Writing stories (from pitching possible storylines to writing full episodes)
Creating art projects (banners, icons, etc)
Producing vids (promos in particular)
Promoting the community on LJ and other websites
Participation does not necessarily mean that you will be required to perform certain duties - all of the aforementioned are done on a fully voluntary, non-assignment basis (except in the case of writing episodes, which are assigned to volunteers by me), nor does it mean that if your schedule doesn't allow for more extensive participation that your membership would be terminated. We simply ask for your pledge to be hands-on in your involvement with this project for as long as possible, and you not share details of our storylines and plot elements with others outside the membership. (Yeah, I know...not that many people care...but I'm not in the business of spoiling my own stuff, even to an audience of one...)
In return for your commitment, you will have exclusive posting access at Altered Anatomy, as well as an open invitation to member chats (usually on AIM), and sneak peeks of episodes that are in development. There's quite a bit of info already on the members-only version of the site, and I believe that once you see all we have planned, you'll be as excited as the rest of us.
But you have to make the commitment FIRST. Let us know what you're interested in doing, how you can contribute. Once you've done that, we'll get you on board ASAP. And then, PLEASE contribute right away, even if it's just by chatting with me and some of the others once a week, or posting a story idea, or suggesting some music or art. I will NOT drop a member if they are doing whatever they can, whenever they can...I'll even take you at your word if you say down the road that you are unable to continue, and keep you as a member...but I will have to cancel a membership if you never contribute at all. Not to worry, I'm patient about that kind of thing. But your effort will be key to keeping this project afloat.
We have some great writers and artists on this project, and I want more. So if you are interested in helping out, please let me know...
