i finally got caught up on the chobit's manga, i started collecting it forever ago (when vol 1 was hot off the press) and neglected it for years, since the series was good enough for me, however, i noticed something when i finished the manga, the story lines are too different, and crossed over with my favorate anime, "angelic layer" first off ichiro mihara married shuuko suzuhara!!!! she had a daughter, masaki suzuhara!!! in chobits the girl ichiro married wasn't shouko, but someone else who couldn't have kids, so the chobit's series was created, also, this sparked the second series of greatest inventions by ichiro mihara, but thats a different story.
i was more than pissed when i found out that they killed off ichiro ANd kaede! kaede! i was sad when i re-learned this, cuz kaede was from angelic layer as well, and she was too sweet and kind
"she was fine, she was always smileing and being happy, then the nex day she passed away, i will never forget not being able to do anything to help my sister as she lied in bed holding my hand, she opened her eyes and smiled at me, then closed her eyes one last time, never to open them again" ~minorou kokobunji~
however, in angelic layer, kaede's last name is "saito" also, in the manga version, sai jounouchi (kaede's best friend) masaki suzuhara, hatoko-chan AND ichiro mihara are all next to minorou and kaede when she passes away, not only did clamp change the names, but the person who ichiro got married too @_@ confusing as to why.
in Chobits the girl that marries ichiro mihara or "wiggly icchan" as he call's himself was named chitose hibiya" who hadn't even made an appearance in angelic layer! i know all this is old fashioned news by now, however it bakes my noodle cuz i have both series and watched them in order and very little is out of order.
