Beachy Spinny Hoopy
I am so wonderfully sore! Pi and I spent the afternoon at the beach yesterday, which happened to clear of fog as soon as we got there and turned nice and hot. I spun, spun, and spun some more - even though I was wearing myself out and running out of water, I couldn't stop! I picked up some new doubles tosses, and made some awesome progress in flow as well as tricks with my new hoop. It's so nice to be getting my hoopin' skillz back after ~15 years of absence. Definitely ready for fire.
I finally went into the freezing water to cool down, got out and spun some more, and headed off to our beach buddies' new home in Larkspur. Great place! Nice big open rooms, lots of flow throughout the house, etc. Makes me want to move into a place there.
Then we went home to watch A Brave New World. The way that the love between Smith and Pocahontas is depicted is just beautiful...their most subtle interactions are my ideal view of the expression of true love...wordless, tender presence.
Back to the beach today! Woohoo!
