I had an absolute blast this past weekend. I didn't realize how much I needed that until Sunday.

I learned so much that I will forget before the week is out. But I am going to be switching my balance in my stance, working on keeping my guard higher to protect my head when I lunge, and think about how I can attack while shutting down my opponent's possibilities.

Aeron Harper (hope I spelled that right) suggested an interesting tourney format. The idea is that your opponent can throw one last shot as they die. This makes it so that you can't just do an all or nothing attack, you must guard yourself afterwards. I like this idea because of the fact that it reinfornces the "reality" of what we are trying to recreate.

I had so much fun talking to all my friends that I don't get to see very often, and making new friends. I still don't know who I was talking to at "lunch" on Sunday. But we had a blast talking about current and past movies.

The drive home was mostly uneventful, except for the deer that was thinking about committing suicide (using my car). It was actually in my lane, but only its head. Would still have done damage to us both, and made the drive much more interesting than I would have liked. Got home safely last night before midnight. I love my new apartment.
