Being that, yes indeed, Halloween is this coming Wednesday, Altalita is going about trying on her Halloween costume to see how easy it is to get in and out of, among other things. She's suggested for Li to do the same, and so they can see how they look together.

And if this will be as silly as they both hope.

There's a knock at the door - it's only to be expected that Li would finish getting ready first, since his costume is much simpler than Alta's. Upon opening the door, Alta will find him clad in a plain but striking black Japanese school uniform. Despite the fact that he almost never wears black anymore, he looks quite striking in it. His hair is pulled back into a braid - also something he hasn't done for a while.

"How do I look?"

Altalita's costume is indeed much, much more elaborate, the base of it being a Damn Impressive slinky black dress, with a somewhat outrageous hair. And finally, a butterfly hairpin. She's not done, as she wants to tie on the sash and kimono-style top to complete the look. She's not wearing the shoes yet, either.

"Oh my" She regards Li, "If I wasn't still in the middle of getting dressed, love, I'd pin and ravish you." But that's the thing about Altalita, she's verily tempted to do it anyway.

"Really?" Li grins and blushes deeply. "Well, I have to say, you look really nice, yourself..."

He absently runs a hand over one of Alta's hips. H-hot~!

Altalita finishes tying the sash behind her back and leans into Li, making a soft sound, the way the top is worn, it also shows some Major Cleavage Here. "And I'm not even done yet~" She murmurs, up close to him.

Oh, this is waaay to much fun. She giggles a little, "Oh god, this is gonna be great~"

"Mmm..." Li holds Alta close, pressing her a little closer against him. There's a reason for this, of course - he's kind of happy to see her.

[Maybe I should ravish you before you finish, then~]

Altalita leans into him, stroking her fingers underneath his chin. She purrs softly, "Oh, but dear." She replies aloud, "As Yuuko, I only tease Watanuki~ I never actually give you any~"

Yes, she's doing it to TEASE MOAR.

"Oee?" Li looks at Alta with his best puppy-eyes and grinds against her just a /little/. "I don't know if I'll survive~"

Seriously. He's wondering how Watanuki even lives like that.

Altalita grins a little, perhaps teasingly, since he knows how to read her expressions, perhaps the most well out of anyone they know collectively. "You will, dear." Altalita murmurs, low.

Then her expression suddenly changes, to a bizarre sort of surprise.

Perhaps timing, fate, or some twisted form of hitsuzen, Altalita's powers suddenly trigger seemingly by themselves. The loud buzzing of a timegate washes over them both.

What's interesting, is that Altalita's self-generated timegates are generally blue in color, ones triggered by LOL are red.

This one, however, is different. It's purple and bright. Although what one might notice is the rarer effect still of it effecting Li as well as Altalita

Li squeaks and looks up at Alta, wide-eyed and blushing.

"Um..." he pauses for a moment to take in his situation. Why is Alta pressed against him, and why is he, um... erect? "... Do I have a choice?"

A boy can hope, right?

He can hope! You never know, Li, you just might get lucky.

Altalita giggles a little and steps back, "Nothing, dear~" She says, rather enigmatically, she also winks a little playfully at him. She knows the previous conversation, because, well, why shouldn't she?

After all, who better to know what yourself is thinking than yourself? "Perfect timing, though, I have to admit." She murmurs, clearly quite amused by this situation. She readjusts the clothing a bit, though. There. Much better.

"Now, remember what we talked about before, sweet?" Some habits, it seems, are universal. Or multiversal, depending on one's viewpoint. "We're only borrowing their places, so we do have to be careful."

Of course, just walking in willy-nilly and taking their places temporarily doesn't bother her. Again, why would it? Especially when it might even be construed as a wish from one of them.

Ohh, cockblocked. The disappointment and desperation on Li's face is apparent for only a split-second before he regains his composure, dusts himself off, and briefly considers acquiring some ice-water.

"So, we're carefully stealing their lives for a week." He nods. "Got it."

It's not the first time he's been cockblocked by Altalita, either. She does it frequently, because his expressions are amusing when she does.

"Not stealing, dear. Borrowing." Altalita grins at him again, "Sort of a holiday treat for them. Making their costumes just a hair more authentic~"

It's scary that what she just said makes sense in a twisted sort of way, doesn't it?

"Besides. This is important for us", she beeps his nose, "as well. Our spirit world is linked to this Nexus, remember? If it stays that way, I don't need to describe the dangers it could bring to our world."

Of course, they don't need the full week to accomplish this. Altalita possibly wants to have a little fun with this as well, break a few brains, and so forth.

And poor, poor Li is dragged along for the warped little rollercoaster this is gonna be.

Li smiles. His Li-logic and Alta's Yuuko-logic are somehow meshing right now, and it's a scary, scary thing when that happens. "Yes, it'd be like those commercials. 'Hey, you got Nexus people in my spirits!' 'Hey, you got spirits in my Nexus people!' 'Heeeeeeyyyy...'"

Li, of course, has no concept of how long it'll take but he's somehow assuming that Alta will do The Right Thing and leave early if they get done early.

"A bit like that, yes. Although generally more of the more Eldritch Horror variety." She makes a 'so on and so forth' dismissive-type hand gesture. Bloody Nexus. Getting its Eldritch Horrors mixed in with the normal spirits.

Of course, normal, is, as usual, in the eye of the beholder. Although the beholder of said eye might vary, in a CLAMP-verse.

"Besides, you never know, we might discover something interesting here." Like BOOZE. Or maybe sex. OR HELL, BOTH.
