Yes you did describe in good detail and I found it interesting
And you did a great job of showing not telling

I found funny stuff good job
This is what I've discovered working with my teachers at Rollins - Most Creative writing instructors will tell you to start with Julia Cameron's Artistist way and her morning pages - this is important to tap the well of creative fire - When I've been part of writers group one of the best things I've ever done for myself is get a writing prompt. Other things like - a writers date - which is a J.Cameron thing are great as well - and remember - ass glue a Dr. Lesilie Laws term not mine - if you a serious about the process stay in the chair and the writing will come.

Read good writers - look for what makes their work so beautiful - Ondajee's English Patient - prose that reads like poetry - he's brilliant - Joanne Harris - Chocolate - beautiful writer - you have books you keep because they are near and dear - ask yourself why? - Focus on that portion of the book that makes you want to keep it forever.

. . . and with all the good ideas that you gave me and I have pondered, what did I wake up chuckling about?

ass glue. LAFFFFF I need a tube of that!

Actually, my parents gifted me with some, if I think about it. My new laptop. I can go hide in the garden, sit on my deck, huddle by the light of the door sttop and write. It's amazing the freedom its given me to write where I am most inspiser -- and more apt-- to write the most.

I would love to hear more about your experience with writer's groups. I am thinking about findig one, but would love input on what to watch for, be aware of, etc.

Thanks!
