Greetings from the great northeast! If it's been on the news everywhere else even a fraction of the time it's been on the news here, then the whole world knows that the general Philadelphia area is under water. My favorite place to go rollerblading, Kelly Drive, looks more like a swimming hole. And I'd like to see Washington cross THIS Delaware. It's not pretty. That being said... my house is dry (except the reminents of the water in my basement), my street is open, and my car is not doubling as a boat (unlike many in surrounding areas). I'll take the soggy basement and consider myself lucky.

In other news, I started teaching Forensic Psychology at Drexel this past Monday. The bad news? I'm already behind. The good news? I'm behind because the students seem genuinely interested in the topic and ask a lot of really good questions. It's a trade-off.

In more other news, I start teaching my Intro to Criminal Law class at Temple next Wednesday. This should be an interesting endeavor, as this was a last minute appointment (3 days ago). I don't have the book yet (and probably won't before the class starts), I've never taught this before (not that I have extensive teaching experience, but still), and there are 49 students in the class. That means that there will be no papers assigned. I have a dissertation to write, clients to see, and inmates to evaluate (can we say don't bite off more than you can chew?)!

This is turning out to be a very busy summer, but these might just be the best jobs I've ever had. I can feel that I am more motivated to do all of the above mentioned activities way more than I have others in the past. Now I just need it to be less hot and less humid and it needs to keep up this whole NOT raining thing.

2.5(ish) days until Chris comes!!!

Back to work.
