Jadice is Awesome
Well I know all of you are desperate to hear about my trip to Fukushima Prefecture (actually I doubt anyone cares at all), but first I must make good on my meme promise to Jadice to write a post on why she is awesome. So here it is.
Jadice and I have known each other since high school though we didn't really become close friends until after graduation. So she gets awesome points for *tolerating* me up until that point =P. She also gets awesome points for being one of my few friends who actually follows anime with the same amount of fervor as I do, and one of an even fewer number who have an interest in anime voice actors and actresses. So she can fangirl over Miyano Mamoru and Midorikawa Hikaru and I can fanboy over... well pretty much everybody.
She is also a ton of fun to watch anime with, which is why she and I would take over my living room and show off our various anime obsessions while making fun of them the whole way through. On several occasions I even made her watch some of my untranslated Japanese anime, requiring me to attempt a simultaneous translation of the show as it was going on. I doubt she really *enjoyed* that so much, but again, she's awesome because she tolerates me.
She is also awesome for all the various little things she's done for me over the years. Everything from baking a cake all the way to organizing a dinner at my favorite restaurant with a bunch of friends on the evening after I got back to California briefly last summer. Oh yeah, and driving me all over the place, especially Anime Expo. I really appreciated all of that and I don't know if I ever adequately expressed that.
Jadice is also awesome personality-wise. She is very sensitive (perhaps too sensitive) to others' feelings and frequently worries about them. She's strong-willed and has strong opinions about things around her, and I certainly am not the only one to have felt her wrath on occasion. We probably all deserved it though, so that makes her awesome too.
Hmm, what else? She's trustworthy and kind, and always willing to listen when I'm feeling down (which is unfortunately relatively often). She's always been there for me and I hope in some small way I've been able to be there for her when she needed it, because she's just that awesome of a person.
So yes, Jadice = awesome.
