I have been signed off for a week.

I am going to set my cover work and let the fact I am not there tomorrow sink in.

Good for you!
I assume if you are off for more than a week, and given that it is illegal to work while signed off*, that the longer you are off the worst things will get at work

*This includes setting cover work!

I want to see how I am for a week, and then have 4 working days before I see a councillor. The doc has told me to phone him on Friday / Monday if I am not well enough to go back. He wanted to sign me off for a bit longer, but we decided that not worrying about the way things are backing up whilst I am away was important too.

I have set cover work, because in the terms of my empolyment I have to for at least 2 days unless I'm actually dead. (sorry Longrat!)

I am hoping I can sort things out in the time I have.

I hope to see my friends during this time too. The one bad thing about Rawmarsh is that my friends aren't here like they were in Walkley (i.e. 2 minutes walk) and I miss you all a lot.
