how it's gonna be

so yesterday i dropped my ipod in the toilet.
my roommate tells me she dropped her phone in there a couple of weeks ago.
this tells me that it wasn't my fault, its that the toilet in my flat is evil.
i guess having an evil toilet is the dark side of being surrounded by a cemetery.

i was pretty valiant about my loss yesterday, i didn't let it get me down.
not that i was psyched about submurging my ipod in toilet water, i just knew that i have yet to figure out how to go back in time and as the antiquated phrase goes, there's no use crying over spilled ipods in toilets.

so today:
ipod announces the new 60 gig ipod color w video for the same price as the 40 gig b&w number i bought a year and a half ago.

my initial elation about the bizarre timing of these events has slightly worn as i realize that buying a new ipod will be taking nearly a whole month's rent out of my dwindling savings.
yes i have the money, but i should be keeping it under lock and key.
at least until i have been hired at the job i have had 2 successful interviews with.

but what is life without an ipod?
i dont even have my precious alt.90s.record.collection on this coast!
i need a music player that is not my computer, right?
do i not deserve this?

it is my birthday tomorrow!
how many times does one turn 27 anyway?
aren't the heavens telling me something here?
the reason Poseidon took my ipod must be that Apollo wanted me to treat myself to new and exciting technology!
Jesus is like "it's cool dude! if you have a killer ipod and less money for food and rent, the meek will inherit the earth anyway so it's all good!"

YOU ARE DAMM RIGHT JESUS!
i DO deserve a new ipod, at least because then i am more likely to inherit the earth or something.

toilet, ipod, me, music
