Sorry for being MIA lately, but life is quite crazy. Got a solid deadline at work, finally got my tv delivered so I can hook up my game consoles, and Christmas shopping taking up my evenings and weekends.
.
Now Christmas is come and gone and mom was so generous this year and gave everyone her cold. Got some Buckley's sinus tablets and waiting for them to kick in before going to bed. I really want to finish this coffee, but don't want the pills to be fighting with the caffeine.
I'm hoping to get out and meet up with a few friends before I head back to the boonies next week. Have to be back to work for Monday. No extended holiday for me. Ah well.
Christmas went well. Went to Drew's new place and celebrated there. Got nearly everything that I wanted, and the rest I will put on a list for the month of January. I did get a toaster oven, which is awesome and something that I was wanting for a while now. Huzzah.
I'm still struggling with the smoker's smell in my apartment. I was told by one of the tenant's mother that she thought everyone in the building smoked. Lucky me. So I'm taking measures to cut down on the smell coming in through the vents as well as trying to cancel out the smell that does make it through. I got a few things for Christmas that should help with that, and I need to replace the vent filters that I bought back in November.
Got a cell phone in October and finally got internet early last month. So I'm starting to get settled in the new environment and taking care of things. Soon I'll need very little for the apartment and I'll be able to start saving money as well as sponsor a child with World Vision or some organization like that. It wouldn't feel right not to sponsor one.
In other news, I found The Tick season 1 and 2 on DVD last week for half off. Sweet.
And went to go see Voyage of the Dawn Treader on Boxing Day. I really liked it and intend on purchasing it when it's released to help finance more movies in the future. They should work on The Silver Chair now that they have Eustace. After that I guess it would have to be Last Battle cause of Jill and nor would you want the Pevensie children to be too old. Horse and his Boy should be next for the same reason as previously stated, then finally, my second favourite - and last - book, The Magician's Nephew.
TL:DR
I'm sick. My apartment smells. I want a kid. (haha, made you want to read the TL:DR version, didn't I?) Spoooooooooooooon! Went to Narnia.
Heading to bed now; a cough is starting. Boo.
Happy New Years everyone, in case I don't post here before hand (which is a very good bet.)
