I went to one of the NaNoWriMo write-ins tonight [6-10pm], and that actually did help. I didn't really talk to too many people of my plot or get into too much detail of what they were writing, but I sat and focused on actually writing. The wifi of the coffee shop was free which I did connect to, and was afraid that it would be too much of a ADD thing for me to actually get much writing done, but apparently that wasn't the case. Thank goodness. Guess it's the TV that poses most of the problem for me.
I easily got over 2000 words written there, and an additional 1,600+ when I got home afterward. I still didn't get as much as I wanted done, because I'm actually feeling tired right now, which is fairly early in comparison to when I've been going to bed lately [see: 4am-5am]. But I did catch up to what the word count should be around at the bare minimum today.
Also the good news is, I'm sure that I have enough story for the ~8,400 words left to meet the 50,000 words easy. I also know that my story will go beyond that word count and I will continue it after November is up. Then I can also fill in the giant story gaps that I was forced to make to keep the plot going. My intense action sequences will come much later once I've planned them out.
Drew has had a rough couple of days, but she's not doing too badly either for her first year. I'm sure we both will have no problem finish this year!
