01] What is your pen name?
Al's Waiter or AW - My pen name signature came about while I was in high school and just writing 'AW' on a most recent finished piece. A little loop was accidental which instead of looking just like AW it also had Al, which also was my nickname. So I've been using it ever since.

02] How did you get the name?
ReBoot, then shortened it to AW when Mainframe Ent. had forums on their website years ago. Didn't feel like typing Al's Waiter every post.I got voted to be a forum Guardian to deal with trolls on there. :3

03] Do you use PC or Mac?
Yes.
PC Desktop
Mac laptop.
I love them both

04] What software do you use most often?
Right now it's CS4

05] Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Mouse on PC
Tablet on Mac because it's very transportable and it's the computer with CS4 on it.

06] The color you use most often is?
Probably black.

07] What area of the pictures do you put most effort into?
Usually the face and hands since that has the most expression.

08] How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Depends on what it is. I'm getting faster, so I can sketch out a picture in about an hour, but for painting it, takes longer. I have yet to time a full session.

09] Do you keep your rough drafts?
Usually, but not always

10] What kind of font do you use most often?
I have a library. How long do you have?

11] What's the dpi when you scan?
For printing, 300. For just computer screen and visual, 150. For net, changed to 72.

12] Do you do anything else when you're drawing pictures?
Usually listening to something, either a sermon, movie, music or YouTube.

13] How many pictures do you draw in a month?
At least once a Sunday, and then occasionally in class when the teacher is talking. I don't get much time out of that to draw.

14] What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
I can't remember the brand of sketchbook, but I like the paper quality. It's smooth and nice for the heel of my hand. I don't like rough paper.

15] What kind of paper do you use for sketches and drafts?
Why are you asking me this again? O.o

16] How long does it take to ink something?
Depends on the detail, but not long. I love inking line art. I'm usually working on different techniques when I ink now.

17] Do you do doujinshi or original manga?
Manga? Not really, but I do want to work on a comic book. If people call it a manga, then so be it, but my aim is not to make a manga per se

18] Do you like doujinshi? Is it fun making it?
Never done it myself.

19] Ever submitted anything to a magazine?
Yes I have.

20] Did it get published?
It did, but I wasn't happy with it. The resolution was all wrong, but that whole thing was a total fiasco because of emailing problems. Would have probably looked better if we could have had contact.

21] Who are your favorite artists?
In regards to modern artists, I would have to say the Kuberts, Joe Madureira, Yukiru Sugisaki, and I'm sure I have more, but they're not coming mind right now.

22] What's your favorite Anime/Manga?
That's really hard, cause I'm kinda too busy for it now. I watch/read Bleach, .Hack// and a few others. I haven't downloaded an episode in a few months.

23] Favorite Characters?
Bleach = Hitsugaya Toshiro, .Hack// = Balmung

24] Any artists that you'd like to draw like?
Joe Mad's over all style I really like and have liked ever since I saw it 12 years ago.

25] Do you buy books a lot?
Only if I have money. :3

26] Did you ever buy a book to inspire you to draw?
Not really /to/ inspire me to draw, but I'm sure I was inspired to draw when I got it.

27] Any video games you enjoy?
Yes. I love games with a great story, graphics and gameplay. My three prerequisites

28] Any favorite characters from video games?
Legend of Zelda, .hack//, Katamari Damacy, Pikmin 2, Myst

29] Do you have a favorite writer?
Tolkien does a good job. Ted Dekker has a nice writing style.

30] Any books you really enjoy?
Thr3e, Myst, Lord of the Rings, The Twelve Kingdoms

31] Do you write fanfics?
Not lately. I'm sure I would if I had time and good endings. My endings suck for the most part.

32] Any music that you often listen to while drawing?
My play list is so varied, I don't want to list them all. Some is popular, some is not and some is rare.

33] Any recommended songs?
No. Not really.

34] Any web sites that you totally admire?
Haven't been on any lately.

35] Do you have any sites you want to go to every day?
Facebook, Livejournal, my guild forum for Dofus, YouTube, and lately started going to Geekologie.

36] What is your dream site like?
Something better than the one I have that helps me get a job. But I'm sure it will become a reality soon. Cause I have to make one this year. :P

37] Do you like your own art?
I like it enough. It's getting closer to what I want, if that's what you mean.

46] Are you a computer expert?
User or hardware? I would like to think I am, but I know I don't know everything.

47] Want to become a professional artist?
That's why I'm going to school for. So I sure hope so

48] Any other jobs you're interested in, besides illustration?
I love type, and am learning motion graphics now in class. It's a brain breaking blast.

49] Any other specialties besides drawing?
I can sew a bit. Gaming. I can make crafts, sing and I used to do Irish dancing, but haven't done that for a few years.

Naturally

51] What's your favorite movie?
Just one? That's mean.

52] Have you ever entered art contests?
Other than the Unofficial ReBoot Awards, I don't think so. I know some of my stuff may be submitted this year to a magazine.

53] When did you start drawing seriously?
Probably slightly before and during animation classes. Definitely after because it was too fun.

54] Anything that you often use as a reference when you draw?
Course. Unless it's the human figure, which I can pretty much get on my own.

55] Have you met any of your fans online?
Any of my fans? No, I don't believe so, but I have met people who either knew of me before or knew me before, but I wouldn't say they're my fans.

56] You have a lot of pen pals?
Had one or two off and on, but don't write anymore. Get me on msn and we can be keyboard pals.

57] You have a lot of friends that draw?
A good majority of them do, but not all. Nightwing_girl, Sango, Bluemuse, DG, lazyninja, nalina

58] What time do you usually go online?
Anytime usually, but I find most time in the evening to early morning.

59] Do you like to go to chat rooms?
Not anymore. Used to go on mIRC, but haven't done that in years.

60] Do you have your own computer?
I do. I have two as stated at the top of this questionnaire. Bought my PC by myself, and dad helped me with my laptop because that was $1k more than my desktop.

61] What would you say to the person you admire?
"Hi"

62] Do you think of things when you draw?
What? Like about what I'm drawing or different things while I'm drawing? No, not really.

63] Have you drawn badly because you think too much?
Um, no?

64] Do you have any friends who are professionals?
A guy who I sat beside in animation class is now a professional comic penciler. I got him to sign a bunch of things before he moved away. I can always sell them on eBay if I'm desperate I guess. He'd be so mad about it too. Hahaha.

65] Where do you often hang out?
In front of my computer. I don't have much of a social life right now.

66] Do you have any artists that you don't like too much?
Yes, but can't think of their names right now. And it's not worth much thought. Better things to do.

67] Situations in which you really don't like being online?
When I want to be going to bed, but have to do homework? I don't know.

68] Situations you hate when it comes to having web sites?
Haven't updated in a long time so I haven't had many visitors let alone drama at them.

69] Something that makes you really glad that the Internet exists?
Everything about it. I love researching things online either for school or for general interest. Tutorials for many things are awesome.

70] What about things that make you NOT glad that the Internet exists?
The chat speaking teens now. Did you know that you can probably type faster in regular words and proper spelling rather than doing short hand? Looks better too!

71] What's the first picture you've ever shown to the public online?
Self picture or drawn picture? Guess probably facebook then.

72] Do you still have that?
Guess so.

73] Has your drawing style changed a lot?
Yes. Thankfully

74] How does it usually change?
With slight changes. If I find I like how I did something, I try to stick with that. Otherwise I experiment or try and fiddle with things until I understand how to draw it better.

75] Have you experienced artists block before?
Yes.

76] How did you escape from it?
I waited four months until I wanted to go to school again, and then animation classes started again.

77] What happens when you have artists block?
I don't draw.

78] Any artists that have influenced you a lot?
Probably Joe Mad mostly because that's the style that I started to copy years ago. Now I'm not too sure.

79] What made you start drawing?
I started in Gr 8. I was watching Lion King and I had the huge urge to draw. So I paused the movie and drew what was on the screen. Did that a few times, then moved onto comic books; longer pause time. After that I thought I wanted to get into animation. I actually got into the program but didn't complete it. It did improve my drawing skills considerably. I drew while working for a few years then I went into Graphic Design. Now I draw in my freetime.

80] What made you want to get a web site?
Why wouldn't I want a website?

81] Where did your site name come from?
Al's Wait and Eat [my first site] came from the 3D animated show ReBoot, but the main page of Eldar-luin came from a friend online [of who I don't have any contact with anymore]. It was one of her nicknames for me and I liked it. It means 'Blue Elf' in Sindarin I think.

82] What do you think about net manners?
Considerably lacking now a days.

83] Have you ever been spammed?
Yes, buy a bot on DA to sell me game money for actual money on my fanart comments. I reported them and told them to stop. Pissed me off.

84] Ever thought about quitting your web page?
Quit, no. Freeze, yes.

85] If so, why?
Well there isn't too much going on in ReBoot (tv show) to add too much more to that website. Lord of the Mst I'll probably go back to when I have more time.

86] About how many KB is each picture?
Never really looked.

87] When creating your site, do you use a program or pure html?
I could code my websites in notepad, but I need a program to help me out with CSS. Just to get the right coding order and the like.

88] Do you have good eyesight?
Yup.

89] If you can get any person's autograph, whose would you get?
Well, I have Paul Dobsons' ... somewhere, and have Gavin Blairs'. I'd probably want Tony Jay's but a little late for that. :(

90] What would you say to that artist when he/she autographs for you?
"I wish you weren't dead. By the way you have an awesome voice."

91] Do you have fans of your art?
Maybe?

92] Do you like to draw on oekaki bbs?
Never done it myself.

93] Were you good at art in school?
Yes and no. I enjoyed it, but it didn't click until later in life.

94] Did you take art lessons other than from school?
Nope.

95] Have you drawn a manga?
No, but as stated, working on a comic for myself.

96] What's your favorite phrase/quote?
"You are so fired."

97] Do you think your personality is different externally and internally?
Definitely, and no, I don't.

98] What's your goal now?
To graduate and get a good placement that will hire me at the end.

Six more months! Just six.
