Human Decency and Hollywood Hype

Jan 23, 2008 10:32

In regards to the recent news of Heath Ledger's passing, one can only be saddened at the news. I found out late last night cause I wasn't near a television until around seven or eight o'clock last night. So needless to say, it came as a complete surprise when I was playing Dofus and browsing DA watches to see it announced there.

When I asked in guild chat if anyone else knew, they said yes. Now yes I admit that it's going to be kinda creepy watching him in the new Batman movie this summer (it's like Chris Farley all over again). But after stating about the death, some of the guild members started worrying about the upcoming 'The Dark Knight', as in will the date be pushed back or will they have to do changes to the movie itself.

Um.... who cares about the movie? Some human being is dead (whether on purpose or by accident - it's uncertain at this point), and you're worried about a movie release date? Have some kind of decency and forget about a movie? What kind of society are we in if that's the thing that people worry about and not about his family, or his two year old daughter?

Come on people, show that there are still humans out there. Forget Hollywood! >:/

news, rant
