Me as a Simpsons character:
This weekend was really great. It started really on Thursday with dinner at BJ's with a bunch of co-workers to celebrate a birthday. Good food, great conversation, yummy berry cider. It felt like home.
On Saturday, ITS had its department picnic at Knott's Berry Farm. This was an absolute blast, even if I chickened out on a ride or two. I did better than I have in the past and even went on a coaster with a loop and corkscrews (so much fun!) I also got to talk to a lot of people that I don't get much chance to hang out with at work. It's wonderful to get to know your co-workers as people and not just drones :). Also, plans were made between our admin assistant and I to start buckling down on a diet and today saw that plan put in motion. We'll see how long this lasts ;)
Sunday was low-key with grocery shopping to prepare for dieting and some Boston Legal watching with my Aunt. In the evening, my aunt, uncle and I went to see Michael Moore's Sicko. At turns entertaining, depressing, and revolting, I highly recommend it to everyone; even if only to get pissed off enough to take some actual action.
That's the news that's fit to print from here. One more day until the holiday...woot!
