This weekend is what life is all about. Relaxation, friends and a little usefulness on the side.
Saturday I did laundry and cleaned my apartment in anticipation of my apartment warming party I was hosting. The party was great. Just the right amount of people and conversation flowed well. The only downside is that I got way to much food and now have all these things in my house I shouldn't be eating. That'll be taken care of when I bring it into work tomorrow ;). A highlight of the party? Mercutio decided to he wanted to be a part of it and so he came out and mingled. Evryone pronounced him beautiful(which he is :) ) and was amused by his yarn playing skills. I hope to host more parties; this apartment seems to be quite suited to it.
Today I went with
yrosalita and my Uncle Dan to the LA Auto show. I figured this would be a good reconnaissance mission for getting a feel for what types of cars I like. Sometime this year I should be in the position to buy a new car(possibly even before I have a license...yes, there is a method to this madness but it's too complicated to explain here). I saw four cars that fit my price, mileage, style and comfort ranges: the Saturn Ion, the Scion xA, the Hyundai Accent and the Kia Rio. I fully intend to hit dealerships soon to look at these vehicles on more depth and get additional information them. Perhaps this is what I need to spur me to take the final steps to get my license.
After lunch in Little Tokyo and returning the cat carrier Mercutio arrived in to the Rescue group I went to Yrosalita's home for dinner and to discuss flight plans for Thursday. As I have mentioned here before, I will be in Ohio from this coming Thursday until the following Monday. If anyone needs to contact me during that time, I will still have my cell phone with me but I will be internetless during that time.
More things, including acquiring many kitchen implements from Yrosalita happened this weekend but my head is too stuffy from allergies(dog) to recount them now so perhaps I will do that tomorrow. G'night, LJ-land.
