This is the reason why I love Fringe fanfic, well in addition to the simple fact that I also love Fringe. Loving something like Fringe is a bit painful because you watch and have to endure how the writers virtually ignore Astrid. How could any writer who loved what they do ignore a character with as much fertile plot ground as Astrid offers??? That is to say, all that potential exists before you even consider shipping her with Dunham. Once that thought occurs, well there's this whole universe of expository possibility. For this reason, for the way you've done Astrid's character true justice in the incarnation of Ms. Esther Figglesworth, your fic is so incredibly lovely.

I know! I love Astrid and it's so frustrating that we still know so little about her. It seems like there is endless potential there, and still it's just... never addressed. Fringe is my favourite show, but I do wish we got more of that, as well as more interaction between Olivia and Astrid.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment! :D

This is really wonderful! You've done a really fantastic job of capturing the noir feel of the episode (which was one of my favorites), especially with a lot of the details like the magnifying glass that sees through walls and the way Olivia here is a hard-drinking noir detective who believes in feelings even less than regular Olivia. And I love having a story from Astrid/Esther's point of view! I like her solid, no-nonsense approach, and how she's the one in the relationship with enough sense to buy a first-aid kit.

And I love how keeping in that noir theme, it's 'Dunham' all the time until the end, when it's Olivia ♥ The whole thing is just so beautifully written. Thank you so much!

Hey there! I'm so relieved you didn't hate it, ha ha! I wanted to write alt!Astrid for you, but canon kept Doing Things, so I finally just accepted that season 3 needs to finish before I can touch the alt!canon.

I have such a thing for characters who can bring things down to Earth and give things perspective. I think Astrid (and Esther) is probably the only one of the group to have anything relating to a normal life, and I love that about her.

Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment! :D
