So... We've already established that I'm a total band nerd, right? Right.
Oh man, I just got home from the annual Band Dinner, and we saw the video of Regionals, and all I have to say is... WOW. I can't even believe I marched in it, it was so awesome. Like, sure, there were some parts that made me go "Ouch..." but then there were parts that were so good I wanted to cry. Like the end of the opener. Oh. My. God. Straight lines. Diagonals. The Sight Ripple. It was all so... AWESOME!!! And then the fact that no one died during the Mesh of Death... *squeals* And I SO want a copy of those lyrics Mr. Knepper wrote. Those were so hilarious! I'm so psyched! I know that I'm going to be so awestruck when we walk into the Dome. At least it will be familiar turf, since we have that at the Schu.
I think I'll probably draw a complete blank once we walk through the airlock (yes, there is an airlock).
So, I found out this morning that my little name thingy hanging in the Regionals hallways had disappeared. Totally ruined the rest of my day, but I found it in the band room after the band meeting, so life became awesome again. I found out during Varsity when we were working on Organ Fugue (which is coming together nicely, by the way, except for the semi-breakdown that Abby had :( ) Russian sucked, as usual. The English test didn't turn out to be so bad, so I got through it. I think I did pretty well on the essay part, too. I think I have either a high C or a low B in that class. As for Algebra, well... I got a 77% on the last test, and I have a 67% in the class. Ouch. Well, it should be easy to average out with my second nine weeks grade. I'm still really happy that I've maintained an A in Chemistry. I'm determined to not flunk.
So, we had a marching practice today, since State's this weekend (*squeals again*) and Eifler taught us three new visuals for the second song. They're pretty difficult. And it's pretty hilarious to see how horrible the clarinet section is when it comes to balance. I think that this is going to be my absolute favorite show out of the four I'm going to be in. Next year's is probably going to be uber difficult (like freshman year's show) because of how well we did this year. Eifler and Barker are going to be trying their hardest to get into State again. Frankly, I can't wait. But I'm not sure how it's going to feel. I can't believe that my senior year is NEXT year. Agh!
Anyway... Let's see... What else...
Um... Let me find a quiz or something to post...
