So good to me. Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be...
And yes, it is so far! Got off to a shakey start, but it's all good now : ) The bookcase arrived, as did the long awaited Wii, I had a busy morning and Phil might be landing the most lucrative deal UK Mail have ever seen in his first proper week! Phil does seem to be doing well in his new job, getting on well with everyone, bringing a lot of useful TNT knowledge (majors to the OX sales, clients he was working with in RG) and hit his target in his first appointment! I'm really proud of him, he was nervous that he wouldn't be able to sell, everyone kept telling him that he was going to fail in his first 3 months (not in a horrible way, but because they all did), they do regular cold calls - which he hates, but he's taking it all on board and being a sucess. When he's been telling me about these big accounts he's got lined up I've been trying to keep him grounded, not to get his hopes up until the deal's gone through... He know's it's right, I just don't want him flying high on all this sucess only to be brought back down to earth when it falls through, or next month when he can't get a contract. I don't think it'll be too much of a problem though, he's a fantastic salesman, and for once, he actually has a service worth selling. So so proud!
I've been trying to look for something specific today. We're both very aware of our expanding waistlines, (I had a horrible moment the other day when I was so bloated and fat, I put on one of my looser tops and it was still straining at the seams) so I thought it would be a good idea for us to do some sort of exercise class together? Not something prissy like yoga, but kick boxing, or boxercise. We can have fun & get fit, get out of the flat and meet new people. I honestly think it'll be a fantastic thing for us to do, but it's just finding somewhere local.
Oh dear, I've upset Brian. He left me an ambiguous note this morning asking for this label to be printed and laminated, apparently it was imperative that it was done, but no timescale. I was hella busy trying to organise meeting rooms for VC's happening in 30 minutes, finding out where our VIP student was supposed to go, fielding phone calls, eventually managed to get the label printed off, after about 5 attempts, tried to laminate it with Holly's old thing, which failed, went over to the post room with a load of other errands and managed to get it done by 10:30. He's just come in now, and I dropped in into conversation that I left it with Antonio this morning to put on the board, and apparently it had to be there for the 8am meeting. Did I know that? No. I only found out what flippin board it was supposed to go on from the note he left this morning! But hey ho, as he said, what's done (or not done) is done now and we can't change that. Next time, be more specific, I am not a mind reader!
Anyway, I'm very excited about getting home to my Wii & Phil, I'd quite like to get him something nice, but not sure what. Did the flowers thing (more for me...) can't do the chocolate thing (here you go sweetheart, have some chocolates... By the way, we're joining a kick boxing class...) he's got the games he wants, clothes is a mine field, plus I am a bit strapped. I'll have a think on that. Just want to get him something he'll open and be really pleased about. There's also the issue of where said item can go. Hm. Might have to go gadgety? Not a lot of options around here though? Argh! So much to fill my afternoon with :p
